What Margin processes

A review uses your CV text, PDF page previews, the job description and any supporting facts you supply. The original PDF is parsed in your browser. Required review content is sent to the configured AI provider.

Saved applications

When accounts are configured, application drafts and reports are stored privately so you can return to them. You can export or delete your workspace from Account. We do not put CV content in payment metadata or application logs. Drafts expire after seven days of inactivity; reviewed applications expire after 90 days of inactivity. Cleanup runs when the maintenance job is configured. Financial records are retained separately.

Service providers

The application integrates Supabase for identity and persistence, Stripe for payment processing, PostHog for product analytics, and Google Gemini or OpenAI for reviews. PostHog receives page addresses, standard browser and device data, and a stable account ID after you sign in, but only after you allow analytics. Margin disables analytics cookies and browser storage, DOM autocapture, session recording, surveys and browser log collection. It does not send CV text, job descriptions, supporting facts, email addresses or payment details to PostHog. These providers have their own retention policies. This is not a claim of zero third-party retention.

Usage and service diagnostics

Margin records review status, model token counts, estimated costs and fixed failure codes to operate the service. The owner dashboard shows these records with account names, email addresses and IDs without displaying CV content. When Sentry is configured, it receives failure codes, review IDs and stage names; it does not receive CVs, prompts, model responses or email addresses. Diagnostic events are removed after 90 days by scheduled maintenance.

With analytics allowed, PostHog also records when you request signup, open checkout, request a review, view a report or open its export. Page addresses exclude query strings and fragments. Owner dashboard pages are excluded from product analytics.

Analytics choice

PostHog stays off unless you allow analytics. Margin stores your choice in this browser so it does not ask on every visit. You can change that choice here at any time.

Before public launch

Public registration and purchases remain closed while the production retention policy, seller details and support service are finalized. Do not treat this preview as a live commercial service.
